T.G.I.F?

Updated: Dec 15, 2024

If you are a millennial like me, you probably remember the infamous T.G.I.F (Thank God It's Friday) television lineups. Family Matters, Full House, Boy Meets World and a host of other iconic shows. We would get pizza, a blanket and relax around the television. Friday nights as a child were good times. Friday night was something to look forward to!

Nowadays the line ups aren’t so iconic, which allows us to be creative in developing a fun Friday night for our children. Maybe Friday nights can become your family nights (or Saturdays), which ever is best for you. If so, what activities should you do? Where should you go? As we approach the weekend, let’s talk about family night activities!

Families with Small Children

Currently I have three small children, ages three, two and eight months. Sometimes it’s difficult to find activities that catch their attention and are toddler friendly. These activities below are so fun and will exhaust your children!

  • Indoor trampoline park

  • Indoor playground

  • Build A Bear

  • Color Me Mine

  • Explore a new park

  • Pumpkin patch (fall season)

  • Natural history museum

  • Airplane museum

  • Children’s museum

  • Drive-in movies

Fun for the Whole Family

No matter the age of your children, everyone should be able to have some fun with these activities.

  • Movies

  • In home movie night

  • Game night

  • Backyard bonfire

  • Homemade pizza night

  • Skating rink

  • Bowling

  • Arcade

  • Escape room

  • Mini golf

  • Laser tag

  • Drive-In movie

Encouragement

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, let loose, make memories and have a good time. As always mommas, YOU GOT THIS!
